In order to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship, the first joint painting exhibition of “Poetry and Charm: Feng Zikai Meets Takehisa Yumeji” was exhibited at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center from September 25, 2018 to October 3, 2018. This exhibition showed Feng Zikai’s “heartfelt friendship” with Japanese artist Takehisa Yumeji, and highlighted the historical origin of Sino-Japanese cultural and artistic exchanges in modern times. This was the first joint exhibition of the two international masters of art who shared common humanistic feelings and similar artistic career and backgrounds, so it had provoked great reaction and interest from all walks of life in both China and Japan.
