The “Spring Breeze Arrives at My Home—Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition In Memory of the 120th Anniversary of Feng Zikai’s Birthday” was opened in Wenzhou Yanyuan Art Museum. Feng Zikai’s grandson, Song Xuejun, gathered with more than 90 descendants of famous artists such as Zheng Zhenduo, Zhu Ziqing, Ma Mengrong, Zhang Guang, Fang Jiekan and Wang Guosong, as well as cultural figures from all over the country to share the cultural event. The exhibition focused on Mr. Feng’s paintings and his tie with teachers and friends due to art. It involved many works of scholars related to Wenzhou, such as Zeng Yandong (poetic name: Qi Daoshi), whom Feng Zikai admired, his friends like Zheng Zhenduo, Zhu Ziqing, Fang jiekan and Su Buqing, and his colleagues Ma Gongyu and Zhang Guang. The exhibition, in the form of hand scroll, hanging scroll, album and fan, enables the audience to form a more comprehensive understanding of the development and evolution of Feng Zikai’s paintings and the artistic world of his fellow friends, and also to obtain more knowledge of the artistic pursuit at that time. While appreciating Feng Zikai’s works and getting enjoyment of beauty, people could also cherish the memory of those sages and understand their artistic pursuit of “casting lingering influence with great works” and their artistic spirit of “education with only great love”.
